The flower in this image is a Peruvian daffodil, and it has an amazing flower structure. Looking through fall flower and bulb catalogs, my wife was fascinated with their whimsical nature, so she ordered a package of bulbs. The bulbs were planted in our back yard where they quickly began to sprout. A succession of blooms followed, attracting birds and butterflies to their blooms. This flower has such unusual, curved petals, I have often wondered why they have developed this way. They certainly stand out for pollinators in the garden.
