This cosmos daisy is called “Picotee” in the flower trade because of its pink edging. My wife selected these seeds as an experiment for our new hobby greenhouse. We planted a flat and the seeds took off. After planting the liners in the garden, our back yard was inundated with butterflies and beautiful flowers. The flowers vary greatly in color and variegation, even on the same plant. This flower seemed to move like Marilyn Monroe’s dress in “The Seven-Year Itch,” and, indeed, it does seem like a flowing piece of tapestry.
